Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Buffalo Chicken Topping
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 1/2 cups cooked and shredded chicken breast
Cheeses
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
Other Toppings & Garnishes
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1–2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
- Ranch or blue cheese dressing for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Surface: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Lightly flour a pizza stone or baking sheet to prevent sticking and ensure a crispy crust.
- Roll Out Dough: Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle or rectangle shape, then place it onto the prepared floured surface. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil to help it crisp during baking.
- Prepare Buffalo Chicken: In a medium mixing bowl, toss the cooked and shredded chicken breast with 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce until the chicken is evenly coated with the spicy sauce.
- Assemble the Pizza: Spread a thin layer of buffalo wing sauce over the rolled-out pizza dough. Evenly distribute the buffalo chicken over the sauce layer, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses on top. Add thinly sliced red onions evenly, and if using, sprinkle crumbled blue cheese over the pizza.
- Bake the Pizza: Transfer the assembled pizza to the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling and lightly browned.
- Garnish and Serve: After baking, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions, then drizzle with extra buffalo sauce or ranch or blue cheese dressing if desired. Slice into 8 pieces and serve hot.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for a quick and convenient option.
- For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños on top or use a hotter buffalo wing sauce.
- To make this recipe gluten-free, substitute the pizza dough with a gluten-free variety.
- Blue cheese is optional but adds a classic buffalo wing flavor contrast.
- Leftover pizza can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven for best texture.
