Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Base
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients required on the box)
Cheesecake Swirl
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon flour
Topping
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch baking pan to ensure the brownie cheesecake doesn’t stick.
- Prepare Brownie Layer: Make the brownie batter according to the package instructions. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan to form the base layer.
- Mix Cheesecake Filling: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and flour until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Combine Layers: Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife to gently swirl the two mixtures together to create a marbled effect throughout the dessert.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the cheesecake layer is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool: Remove the pan from the oven and allow the cheesecake to cool completely to room temperature right in the pan.
- Add Caramel and Chill: Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the cooled cheesecake. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours to allow the dessert to firm up and the flavors to meld before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the best creamy texture and rich flavor.
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before mixing to avoid lumps.
- For a stronger caramel flavor, consider drizzling extra caramel sauce when serving.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- To make slicing easier, run a warm knife along the edges before cutting.
