Scale
Lemonade Base
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
Creaminess
- 1 cup half-and-half or whole milk
- Ice cubes, for serving
Instructions
- Make Simple Syrup: In a pitcher, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of water. Stir thoroughly until all the sugar has dissolved completely to form a simple syrup base.
- Add Lemon Juice: Pour in the fresh lemon juice and stir to blend it evenly with the simple syrup.
- Mix Water: Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well to combine all liquids.
- Incorporate Cream: Slowly pour in the half-and-half or whole milk while stirring gently to create a creamy texture and combine all ingredients smoothly.
- Serve Over Ice: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the creamy lemonade over them. Stir before serving to redistribute any separation that may occur.
Notes
- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor and brightness.
- Adjust sugar quantity to your taste preference if you like a sweeter or tangier lemonade.
- Half-and-half provides a richer creaminess, but whole milk is a lighter alternative.
- Stir before serving as the cream may separate slightly.
- Keep refrigerated and consume within 1-2 days for optimal freshness.
