For the Chicken Filling:
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Additional Ingredients:
- 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
- 4 small tostada shells (or tortilla chips for crunch)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Cooking spray or a little oil for the pan
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Filling: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Assemble the Crunch Wraps: Lay a large flour tortilla flat and spoon a generous portion of the chicken mixture into the center. Place a tostada shell or a layer of tortilla chips over the chicken mixture for crunch. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and green onions.
- Wrap and Cook: Fold the tortilla edges inward, working around in a circle to seal the wrap. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and lightly spray with cooking spray or add a small amount of oil. Place the wrap seam-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes. Repeat with remaining wraps.
- Serve: Slice and serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef or shredded beef for chicken.
- Add jalapeños for extra spice or use pepper jack cheese.
- If you don’t have tostada shells, tortilla chips will still give that signature crunch.
