Chicken Burger Patties
- 1 pound ground chicken

- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- Burger buns and toppings as desired (lettuce, tomato, avocado, yogurt-based sauce suggested)
Instructions
- Prepare the mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, minced chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.
- Form the patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a burger patty, ensuring they are compact enough to hold together during cooking.
- Heat the skillet: Place a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add the olive oil, allowing it to warm up until shimmering but not smoking.
- Cook the burgers: Place the patties in the skillet, cooking each side for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F to ensure they are safely cooked through.
