Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Wrap & Topping
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all the ingredients are thoroughly blended.
- Prepare the Crescent Dough: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles along the perforated lines. Keep the dough triangles on the baking sheet or transfer to a clean work surface.
- Assemble the Bundles: Spoon an equal amount of the chicken filling onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Carefully roll each triangle from the wide end to the narrow end, enclosing the filling inside to form bundles.
- Brush and Top: Place the bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased. Brush the tops with melted butter and, if desired, sprinkle seasoned bread crumbs over the top for added crunch and flavor.
- Bake: Bake the chicken bundles in the preheated oven for 8 minutes or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy these warm, cheesy chicken bundles as a tasty appetizer or snack!
Notes
- Using rotisserie chicken saves time and adds great flavor.
- Seasoned bread crumbs are optional but add a nice crunch and extra seasoning.
- You can substitute cheddar cheese with mozzarella or your preferred cheese.
- For a spicier variation, add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes to the filling.
- These bundles can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for a few minutes before serving.
