Ingredients
Scale
Base Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Decorations
- ½ cup pastel sprinkles (plus extra for decoration)
- Non-stick cooking spray (for shaping)
Instructions
- Melt the Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth. Then remove the pot from heat to avoid burning.
- Mix in Cereal: Gradually stir the Rice Krispies cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture, ensuring even coating. Once integrated, gently fold in the pastel sprinkles to distribute the color throughout without breaking the cereal.
- Shape into Eggs: Lightly coat your hands with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Scoop about ¼ cup of the mixture and mold it carefully into an egg shape. Place each shaped treat on a parchment-lined tray for easy removal.
- Decorate: Press additional pastel sprinkles onto the surface of each egg-shaped treat to enhance their festive appearance. Use as many as you like for a bright, colorful finish.
- Set: Allow the treats to cool and set at room temperature for 15-20 minutes until firm enough to hold their shape, then serve and enjoy.
Notes
- Use wax paper or parchment paper to prevent sticking when shaping treats.
- If the mixture is too sticky, lightly spray your hands again before shaping.
- Store treats in an airtight container to keep them fresh for up to 2 days.
- For an extra festive touch, add small edible glitter or edible candy pearls alongside the sprinkles.
- These treats can be made ahead of time and stored overnight for convenience.
