Ingredients
Scale
Dry Ingredients
- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 2 cups mini pretzels
- 1 1/2 cups pastel-colored M&M’s (peanut or milk chocolate)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup pastel-colored sprinkles (optional)
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or white melting wafers
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the Rice Chex cereal, mini pretzels, pastel-colored M&M’s, and mini marshmallows. Mix gently to combine all the dry ingredients evenly.
- Melt white chocolate: Place the white chocolate chips or melting wafers into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth without clumps.
- Coat mixture: Pour the melted white chocolate over the combined dry ingredients. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, gently toss everything together to evenly coat all the ingredients with the white chocolate.
- Spread mixture: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the coated snack mix evenly on the sheet, ensuring it’s a single layer for quicker setting.
- Add sprinkles (optional): Immediately sprinkle the pastel-colored sprinkles over the top of the white chocolate-coated mix before the chocolate hardens to add extra color and texture.
- Cool and set: Allow the snack mix to cool and harden at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps the white chocolate to set and bind the mixture into clusters.
- Serve or store: Once hardened, break the snack mix into clusters and serve immediately. Alternatively, store in an airtight container to keep fresh for several days.
Notes
- Customize this mix with other Easter candies such as robin eggs or mini Cadbury eggs to vary texture and flavor.
- For a salty-sweet twist, add salted peanuts or popcorn to the mixture.
- Use candy melts in pastel shades instead of white chocolate for extra festive color and variety.
