Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in molasses, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Blend Mixtures: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  6. Bake: Press dough into pan and bake for 18–22 minutes until set.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let bars cool in pan before cutting into squares.
