This Grilled Broccolini recipe offers a simple and quick way to enjoy tender, charred broccolini with a bright lemon finish. Perfect as a healthy side dish for any meal, the broccolini is lightly seasoned and grilled to bring out a smoky flavor while maintaining its vibrant texture.
Ingredients
Scale
Broccolini
- 1 pound broccolini (about 2-3 bunches)
Seasoning & Dressing
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- ¾ teaspoon salt (plus more for serving)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it is hot enough to achieve a nice char on the broccolini without burning.
- Prepare the broccolini: Remove any leaves from the broccolini stems and place the broccolini in a medium bowl or on a large plate. Drizzle with the avocado oil and sprinkle evenly with salt. Toss well until all stalks are fully coated.
- Grill the broccolini: Arrange the broccolini in a single layer on the grill. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the broccolini is tender and has light charring spots for a smoky flavor.
- Finish and serve: Remove the broccolini from the grill. Season with black pepper and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving. Add additional salt to taste if desired.
Notes
- Be sure to preheat the grill well for an even char.
- Avocado oil is chosen for its high smoke point and mild flavor, but olive oil can be used as a substitute.
- Adjust lemon juice quantity to taste for more brightness.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the crispy texture.
- Can also be cooked on a grill pan if an outdoor grill is not available.
