Ingredients
Scale
Fruits
- 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
Seasonings & Extras
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- Honey or maple syrup for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium heat, about 350°F (175°C), to ensure even cooking and nice grill marks on the peaches.
- Prepare Peaches: Halve the peaches and remove the pits carefully. Optionally, score the inside flesh lightly to help caramelize and absorb flavors better.
- Oil the Peaches: Lightly brush each peach half with olive oil. This prevents sticking on the grill and promotes a lovely char.
- First Side Grilling: Place the peach halves cut-side down on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes or until the fruit is tender and has developed grill marks and a slight char.
- Flip and Season: Flip the peaches and sprinkle ground cinnamon over the cut sides if using. Grill the second side for 3-4 minutes to warm through and infuse the spice.
- Serve with Sweet Drizzle: Remove peaches from the grill and while still warm, drizzle with honey or maple syrup for added sweetness and flavor contrast.
Notes
- Choose ripe but firm peaches for grilling to avoid mushiness.
- If you don’t have a grill, you can use a grill pan on the stovetop.
- The cinnamon is optional but adds a nice warm spice that complements the peaches.
- Serve grilled peaches as a dessert, with ice cream, or as a side in salads and savory dishes.
