Ingredients
Scale
Popcorn Balls
- 7 Cups Popped Popcorn
- 11 ounces Caramel candies
- 25 Marshmallows
- ½ cup (1 stick) Butter
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 8 ounces Reese’s Pieces
Decorations
- 6 ounces Green melting chocolate
- 3 ounces Purple melting chocolate
- Popsicle sticks
- Halloween sprinkles
- Edible eyeballs
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to use later for placing the popcorn balls as they set.
- Melt Butter and Candies: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter completely. Once melted, add the caramel candies, marshmallows, and cinnamon. Stir continuously with a rubber spatula until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Mix with Popcorn: Quickly add the popped popcorn into the melted caramel and marshmallow mixture. Fold in the popcorn carefully and then add Reese’s Pieces, folding them in evenly to distribute.
- Form Popcorn Balls: With hands sprayed lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking, shape the mixture into balls about the size of an orange. Place each ball on the prepared parchment paper and insert a popsicle stick into the center of each one. Allow them to cool completely so they set firm.
- Decorate: Once popcorn balls have cooled, dip the bottom of each ball into the melted green or purple chocolate, then coat with Halloween sprinkles. Drizzle the opposite color chocolate over the top for a festive look. Before the chocolate hardens, add edible eyeballs or additional Halloween sprinkles as desired for decoration.
