Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with this decadent Lobster Mac and Cheese recipe. Creamy, cheesy, and loaded with chunks of succulent lobster, this dish is a showstopper that’s perfect for special occasions or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Macaroni:

  • 12 ounces elbow macaroni

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups whole milk, warmed
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Other Ingredients:

  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook Macaroni: Cook macaroni according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Make Cheese Sauce: In a large saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 to 2 minutes to form a roux. Gradually whisk in warm milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar, Gruyère, and Parmesan until melted.
  4. Combine and Bake: Fold in the cooked macaroni and lobster meat. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. In a small bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the pasta. Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, substitute some of the milk with heavy cream.
  • You can prepare the dish ahead of time, refrigerate, and bake just before serving.
  • Serve with a light salad or roasted vegetables to balance the richness.
