Description

This Mint Fudge Recipe is a rich and creamy no-bake dessert that combines smooth semisweet chocolate with refreshing peppermint flavor. Easy to prepare on the stovetop and chilled to set, it’s perfect for holiday treats or anytime you crave a sweet minty indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 4–5 drops green food coloring (optional)

Decoration

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted, for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to easily lift the fudge out later.
  2. Melt Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine semisweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir constantly until the mixture is melted and smooth.
  3. Add Flavors: Remove the pan from heat and stir in vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and green food coloring if using. Mix thoroughly to incorporate.
  4. Pour and Spread: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly with a spatula.
  5. Decorate: Let the fudge cool for 10 minutes at room temperature, then drizzle melted white chocolate over the top for an elegant finish.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours until it becomes firm and set.
  7. Serve: Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge from the pan. Cut into 36 small squares and enjoy.

Notes

  • For extra texture and festive flavor, stir in crushed peppermint candies before spreading the fudge into the pan.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks to maintain freshness.
