Dough:
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Coating:
- 10 cups water
- 2/3 cup baking soda
Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Chocolate Dip:
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Add flour, salt, and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms. Knead until smooth. Let rise.
- Boil and Bake: Preheat oven. Boil water and baking soda. Divide dough, shape into bites, boil briefly, then bake until golden.
- Coat and Serve: Brush warm pretzel bites with melted butter and coat in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Make chocolate dip by melting chocolate chips with warm cream. Serve warm bites with chocolate dip.
Notes
- Best enjoyed fresh; reheat leftovers in the oven.
- For an extra treat, drizzle chocolate sauce over the pretzel bites.
