Feta Rolls

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)

Chili Honey

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Filling: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, combine crumbled feta, softened cream cheese, chopped dill, parsley, lemon zest, and black pepper, mixing until well blended.
  2. Prepare Phyllo Dough: Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter. Layer a second sheet on top and brush again. Cut the layered sheets lengthwise into 3 equal strips.
  3. Assemble Rolls: Place about 1 tablespoon of the cheese filling at the bottom of each phyllo strip. Fold the sides over the filling and roll up tightly like a spring roll, ensuring the seam is underneath. Repeat with remaining dough and filling to form 12 rolls.
  4. Bake the Rolls: Arrange the rolls seam side down on the lined baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with additional olive oil or melted butter. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes until they turn golden brown and crispy.
