Description

  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the topping:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Make the crust: Beat softened butter and sugar, then mix in flour and salt to form a dough. Press into the prepared pan and bake for 18–20 minutes.
  3. Prepare the topping: Melt butter with brown sugar, honey, and cream in a saucepan. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Pour over the hot crust.
  4. Bake: Return to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until set.
  5. Cool and serve: Let cool completely in the pan, then cut into bars.
