Description

These Pomegranate Dark Chocolate Bites are a delightful combination of juicy pomegranate seeds and rich dark chocolate, finished with a sprinkle of sea salt. Perfect as a refreshing, sweet treat that requires no baking and comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups pomegranate seeds
  • 5.25 ounces (150 grams) high-quality dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Layer pomegranate seeds: Evenly distribute a single layer of pomegranate seeds across 12 muffin cups, making sure they cover the bottom well.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate: Place the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in short intervals, stirring in between to prevent burning, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Prepare chocolate piping: Transfer the melted chocolate into a piping bag or a plastic bag, then snip off a small tip to control the flow of chocolate.
  4. Build the bites in layers: Pipe a crisscross pattern of melted chocolate over the pomegranate seeds in each muffin cup. Add a second layer of pomegranate seeds atop the chocolate, then drizzle more chocolate over this layer. Finally, add a last layer of pomegranate seeds on top.
  5. Season with sea salt: Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over each assembled pomegranate chocolate bite to enhance the flavor balance.
  6. Chill to set: Place the muffin tin in the refrigerator and chill the bites for at least one hour to allow the chocolate to harden before serving. Serve immediately after removing from the fridge for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use high-quality dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa content for the best flavor and texture.
  • If you don’t have a piping bag, a resealable plastic bag with a small corner cut off works just as well.
  • You can store these bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Adjust the amount of sea salt to taste, depending on how salty you prefer your bites.
  • Make sure to remove any white pith from the pomegranate seeds as it can add bitterness.
