Ingredients
Scale
Cauliflower
- 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Topping
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Cauliflower: Wash and dry the cauliflower thoroughly. Cut it into bite-sized florets, ensuring they are relatively uniform in size for even roasting.
- Season the Cauliflower: In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well so each floret is fully coated with the seasoning.
- Roast the Cauliflower: Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even browning. The florets should become golden and crispy on the edges.
- Add Parmesan: Remove the cauliflower from the oven. While still hot, immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the florets. Gently toss to allow the cheese to melt and coat the cauliflower evenly.
- Garnish and Serve: Optionally garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Serve the roasted Parmesan cauliflower bites warm as a delicious side dish, snack, or appetizer alongside your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, make sure the cauliflower pieces are spaced out on the baking sheet without overcrowding.
- You can substitute Parmesan with Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor.
- To keep the bites warm before serving, place them in a low oven (around 200°F) while you prepare other dishes.
- These bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
- Adjust seasonings based on taste preference; adding red pepper flakes can give a spicy kick.
