Description

This Saucy Ramen Noodles recipe offers a flavorful and easy-to-make stir-fried noodle dish featuring classic Asian sauces, fresh vegetables, and a hint of spice. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal, it combines tender ramen noodles with a savory and slightly sweet sauce, enhanced by garlic, ginger, and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale

Noodles and Vegetables

  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (without seasoning)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger

Other

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup peanuts, crushed (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, drain well, and set aside. Discard the seasoning packets or save them for another use.
  2. Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Set aside.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute, taking care not to burn them.
  4. Cook Vegetables: Add the sliced mushrooms and julienned carrots to the skillet. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still have a slight bite.
  5. Add Noodles: Add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet and stir well to combine the noodles with the sautéed vegetables.
  6. Add Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and vegetables. Toss everything thoroughly so the noodles are evenly coated with the flavorful sauce and heated through.
  7. Finish: Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the sliced green onions and chopped fresh cilantro to add brightness and freshness to the dish.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with crushed peanuts if desired, then serve the saucy ramen noodles hot for best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Adjust the sriracha amount to control the spice level.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute oyster sauce with hoisin or mushroom sauce.
  • Use fresh ramen noodles for a different texture if available.
  • Leftover seasoning packets can be used in soups or marinades.
  • Adding protein like tofu, chicken, or shrimp can make this dish a complete meal.
