Ingredients

Scale

Pasta:

  • 12 ounces pasta (such as penne or linguine)

Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)

Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cheese Topping:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Others:

  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook the pasta: Cook the pasta in salted water until just al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the shrimp: In a skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes in olive oil and butter. Add shrimp and cook until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Make the sauce: Add wine (or broth), lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer, then remove from heat.
  5. Combine and bake: Mix pasta, shrimp, sauce, parsley, and mozzarella in a bowl. Transfer to baking dish, top with Parmesan, and bake for 15–20 minutes.
  6. Serve: Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, stir in a splash of heavy cream before baking.
  • You can substitute cooked chicken for shrimp if desired.
