Description

This refreshing Thanksgiving Punch is a perfect festive beverage combining apple cider, citrus juices, and cranberry flavors with a sparkling ginger ale finish. It’s vibrant, naturally vegan and gluten-free, ideal for holiday parties and family gatherings, and can be served as a non-alcoholic or spiked holiday drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Juices

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

Additional Ingredients

  • 1 liter ginger ale, chilled
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 apple, sliced

Garnishes

  • Cinnamon sticks (optional)
  • Star anise (optional)
  • Ice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Juices: In a large pitcher or punch bowl, pour the apple cider, orange juice, cranberry juice, and fresh lemon juice. Stir well to ensure all the flavors are well blended and evenly mixed.
  2. Add Ginger Ale: Just before serving, add the chilled ginger ale to the juice mixture. Gently stir to combine without losing the fizz from the ginger ale.
  3. Incorporate Fruits and Garnishes: Add the fresh or frozen cranberries, sliced orange, and sliced apple to the punch, which enhances both flavor and visual appeal, giving the punch a festive look.
  4. Serve: To serve, pour the punch over ice in individual glasses if desired. Garnish each glass or the punch bowl with cinnamon sticks or star anise for a warm holiday aroma and decorative touch.

Notes

  • For an adult version, add 1 to 1 1/2 cups of spiced rum or bourbon to the punch.
  • This punch can be made a day in advance; store covered in the refrigerator and add ginger ale and garnishes right before serving to maintain the fizz and freshness.
